Appearance: Kamon is a tall, lanky young man. He is very muscular, and almost all of his body weight is made up of muscle. He is quite attractive to heterosexual women and homosexual men at first glance, though at a second look that initial attraction leaves and all that’s left is whether or not the person themselves finds him attractive. Kamon’s brother said that it was a result of his intimidating nature and initiative. Either way, Kamon doesn’t care nor mind about this feature. Kamon’s body has been toned into well-formed muscles due to years of training as well as the natural muscle mass that males have. His stomach muscles are a detailed 6-pack, and his limbs are obviously quite muscular. Kamon’s collarbone is quite prominent, as are the two primary tendons in his neck. Kamon was originally very pale, however years of being at sea has tanned his skin into a golden-hazel color.

Kamon’s face is rather sharp, his angled cheeks and a pointed chin. His nose is average-sized and fairly pointed at the end. His mouth is fairly thin though not so thin that it looks freakish, and his lips are usually rather dry due to his disliking of drinking large amounts of water. Kamon’s teeth are pretty much normal except for the fact that his canines, upper and lower, are pointed into fangs (which gave him his nickname). Kamon’s eyes are long and angular, with the irises being a shade of crystal blue. His pupils are curious, not being a full circle but instead missing a chunk of them. Kamon was born like this, and it is unknown why they look this way. His eyelashes are thin and his eyebrows are straight and sharp. Kamon’s ears are average-sized, though slightly square, and his right ear is pierced with three silver studs near the lobe, and two small, silver hoops on the side near the top. Kamon’s hair is black, though it’s more of a dark blue-gray color then jet black. The back of his hair is rather spiky and naturally ‘floats’ upwards at the ends. Near the front Kamon has two pieces of hair that go in front of his face, framing his cheeks, and he has wispy bangs that cover his forehead, part of his eyes, and a large piece covering a bit of his nose.

As far as markings go, Kamon has several body markings of note. Across his chest he has a long, thin scar from a sword cut. It goes from his right shoulder to his left hip. He has a thin, barely noticeably scar on his right eye going vertically across his eye (It’s in the picture, if you want to see it.) Kamon has five small scratch marks on his left ear from a cat scratch, and he has three similar scratches on his right index finger, as well as four scars the mimic these on his left middle finger. Kamon also has two scars across his left foot, from where he slipped at a construction site and cut his foot open on two circular saws. On his right toe he has a faint scar on the area of skin between his big toe and his second toe, from where the skin was peeled off due to said incident. Kamon’s tattoos include a black arrow on his right bicep, letters on the upper fingers of his left hand that spell “F-A-N-G”, and on his back a very ornament black tattoo consisting of a large circle with a smaller circle inside of it and several ruins inside the gap between the two. Then two smaller versions of that overlapping the main circle on the bottom left part and the upper right part. In the middle of the main circle is the Kanji for ‘Mist’ (Kiri) drawn to look very ornamental.

For his main clothing Kamon wears a pair of black pants on his legs, that are baggy enough for him to move easily but skinny enough for him to look decent. On his feet he wears black leather boots that go over his pants and halfway up his lower legs. Around his hips he wears a black leather belt that has several pouches for his tools. On his torso Kamon wears a short-sleeved, black shirt that is open at the top, revealing his necklace and part of his chest-scar. Kamon wears black leather gloves on his hands. Around his neck Kamon wears a necklace that was given to him by his mother. It has a black cord with a single pendant on it, which looks like a silver leaf with a sapphire imbedded in the middle. Strangely enough, the gem is the same color as is eyes. All-in-All, Kamon dresses himself in combat-ready clothes that won’t get in his way (aside from the necklace, which he always wears in order to remember his mother.)

Other Clothing: In casual or formal situations, Kamon primarily wears the same thing for both, his choice of dress changes drastically, though still retains his usual color scheme. He wears black cloth pants that are skinnier then his combat-ready pants, but he always wears the same belt and boots. The difference this time with his boots is that with these pants on he wears the boots under the pants, so only the foot of them can be seen. He wears them like this to retain some class. On his torso he wears a long-sleeved, dark blue, silk button-up shirt. However, as Kamon has grown accustomed to not having a tight color around his neck, he unbuttons the top two buttons. His hands are bare like this, however he wears a silver ring on his left ring finger with a sapphire gem imbedded in it. Of course, he wears his necklace. Sometimes Kamon will wear a black tie and a black dress-jacket over his shirt.

He doesn’t wear anything while sleeping.


Personality: When people first meet Kamon they assume that, because of his appearance, he’s fairly dark and secluded in the way he acts. Contrary to this, Kamon’s personality is quite different then how people usually expect him to act, though this does not mean that he doesn’t have certain aspects of that. Kamon is quite complicated as a person, and has many different layers to his personality, much like a gemstone has many different layers. He confuses a few people with the way he acts at first, seeming prone to spontaneous changes in personality, though as you get to know him more you will discover that he actually has a distinct, continuous personality, despite the many layers to it. Much like an onion, the more layers you peel away the more you discover. In other words, the longer you get to know Kamon, the more of his personality you’ll discover.

Kamon, in general, is a pretty cheerful guy. He enjoys having a positive outlook on life, however he doesn’t let this interfere with his judgment. He has a kind heart, willing to go out of his way to help other people unless it puts his crew in danger. He often cheers up people if they are depressed or angry, and acts as a middle ground for feuds in his crew. Despite his cheerful personality, Kamon knows when it is appropriate to be serious and stoic, such as a Yonkou meeting. Because Kamon is still young he has a bit of a naïve outlook on life and situations, though he retains an air of maturity, and even though he has a positive outlook on life he still retains a realistic view on it.

When Kamon speaks he prefers to be blunt, not enjoying hiding what he is thinking in order to make the other person feel better. This is partially due to his childhood, there his father would always be blunt, and fairly harsh, with Kamon. It is also partially due to the fact that Kamon doesn’t believe you should be sheltered from the truth. He believes in the phrase ‘ignorance is bliss’, having experienced firsthand how true that was at a young age. Despite his knowledge in that, he feels that while you can stay happy with ignorance, with knowledge of worldly affairs comes knowledge and wisdom of how to survive during those times. His crew knows firsthand how blunt Kamon can be, and are used to it, however it often annoys people he’s just met. Kamon can also be very strict and harsh in his speaking manner, particularly when he’s ticked off, but he always drives himself to work as hard as he makes his crew work.

Kamon also has a strong sense of pride and loyalty, and would never betray his crew. He sees the game ‘Davy Back Fight’ to be a dishonorable fight because the crewmembers who leave are practically betraying their original crew. Because of this, Kamon hates the barbaric game and refuses to participate in it whenever another crew offers to play the game with his crew. Kamon played the game once and lost one of his crew members, which was another thing that had turned him off the game. Kamon’s sense of pride goes as far as to forge a wish to avenge any insult made to his pride. He hates being embarrassed or humiliated, as well as being made the best of. Because of this, Kamon always thinks before he speaks, and has a habit of making the best of other people instead of them making the best of him.

Kamon does have several shallow features to his personality, for he is only human. One part is a strong avengeful demeanor. If anyone kills a member of his crew he will personality see to it that they pay for that. However, sometimes the murder is a mistake, and upon learning this and confirming it to be true Kamon will do one of two things. If the person is still alive he will stop pursuing him. If he is dead, he will personally apologize to the family of the dead man, and honor him in his own time, praying that the man make it to heaven. Another weakness in his personality is the fact that he doesn’t tell the truth only. He, like any other person, lies. Kamon has grown accustomed to lying, having done it many times in his past, and can lie with a perfect straight face, or lie when laughing and making merry. Basically, Kamon can lie while retaining the personality he would have had if he was telling the truth.

Something about Kamon that surprises a lot of people is that he likes children. He sees the children as the ‘future of the world’ and does his best to protect any child that might be harmed and if he can prevent that. He is very nice to children, nicer then he is to most adults, and most children like him back. However, he has a low tolerance for rude children, and if a child – or adult, for that matter – is rude or disrespectful he will gladly put them in their place. In order to not be seen as a hypocrite, Kamon does his best to refrain from being disrespectful, and he holds a sense of respect even for Marines, despite the fact that he doesn’t believe in their sense of justice.

Weapons: Kamon can general use most weapons, though he carries a large Katana with him. He also carries a black leather whip on his belt, and can use both at the same time. Kamon can also use Busoshoku Haki, and, more noticeably, Haoshoku Haki. He cannot use Kenbunshoku Haki.


History: Kamon was born to a powerful family, his father being a senator of an island in the West Blue. Because of this, Kamon grew up sheltered for the first few years of his life. He grew up watching his father and mother fight a lot, specifically about what his father was doing as a senator and about Kamon himself. Kamon tried his best to stay out of these fights, but when it was about Kamon his father would often drag him into it to defend him (I.E. “Kamon! You don’t feel too sheltered, do you?”) to which Kamon always agreed with his father in order to be able to leave the fight sooner. He knew about the kind of things that his father was doing, but never saw the worst in them, thinking them normal. He was young, of course, and that sort of thing would seem uninteresting to a young child.

In fact, his father had been planning on starting a new government on the island and executing anybody that resisted him. All Kamon knew at the time was that his father was planning a new government, which sounded glamorous to the young boy. As Kamon matured, however, he grew more and more wise in what his father was doing, and grew more and more worried about what would happen to his homeland. However, around that time Kamon started learning how to fight with weapons, and didn’t have time to ponder about what was going on. However, the knowledge he had gained changed his life forever.

When Kamon was 13 he confronted his father. It wasn’t as much of a confrontation as it was Kamon asking his father about the new government. Kamon’s father told him that it would be a new government made to kill any fool or useless person on the island. When his father asked if Kamon agreed that it should be done, Kamon agreed just to leave the study and ponder what his father had said. One day, Kamon watched an execution by whip, and after seeing the immense damage it could do to a grown man began learning how to use a whip.

When Kamon was 16 years old he decided to become a pirate. He knew that his father hated pirates, and so planned his career in secret. However, his father soon learned about Kamon’s plans, and called Kamon to his study one day. The rest of the council members were there and Kamon’s father confronted him in front of him. Kamon, in turn, confronted his father about the new government. His father was a better manipulator, however, and easily defended himself, making Kamon seem like a fool. Kamon told his father that he would give up his plans of becoming a pirate and instead become a senator like his father. His father believed Kamon, and the young man left the room, already plotting how to overthrow his father’s position and leave the island to pursue his dream.

When Kamon was 17 his mother disappeared. He knew right away what had happened when he learned about it: She had learned too much about the government and his father had killed her. Clutching the necklace he had received from her on his 15th birthday, Kamon finally confronted his father about the government once more, this time having a stronger argument. The two men fought for hours, until finally Kamon brought up the point of his father killing his mother. His father, who was still in minor shock at killing his wife, had a mental breakdown and was relieved from his position. Kamon left the island after that, and nobody knew what had happened to him until he got his bounty.

Out at sea Kamon began making a name for himself. He started the crew of “The Sapphire Pirates” in honor of his mother, whose favorite gem was a sapphire. When Kamon was 19 years old he ate the Kiri Kiri no Mi, granting him its abilities. After this, he became more known throughout the world. He earned the name “Mystic Fang Kamon” which was a pun on his Devil Fruit, and on his teeth. He became a Wanted man, with a large bounty on his head.

Three months after Whitebeard was killed Kamon reached the New World. He met up with the current three Yonkou and told them that because there was a spot open in the Yonkou he would be taking it. One of the Yonkou, Red Haired Shanks, burst out laughing, saying that he liked Kamon’s initiative. If Kamon could prove himself, he would receive the spot and Whitebeard’s main territory. Kamon immediately put one of the Yonkou into a chock hold, and dissipated his body into mist. In other words, the Yonkou was being choked but nobody could harm him. Kamon knew that Haki could stop it, but nobody tried to. Kamon released the Yonkou, and claimed his territory and his spot as the newest, and youngest, Yonkou. When the government found out that there were 4 Yonkou once more, they upped Kamon’s bounty even more.
RP Sample: Since my starting posts are usually longer then my usual ones, here’s a starting post and a usual post.
Starting: Same growled low in his throat, his right arm outstretched as far as it could go. His fingers twitched slightly, scraping against the surface of the rock he was climbing. Just a few more centimeters and he would have another handhold. Same scowled up at the rock he was reaching for, then turned his head to look at the ground below him. Normally he would jump to grab it, but at over 100 yd. he didn't want to risk it. Same turned his back up and glared at his destination. The top of the boulder was just a few yards away, and here he was stuck because of his height. Same knew he was pretty tall for a guy of his age, he'd seen kids his age who were only 5'2'' and considered average height, but it was times like these when he ignored the fact that he was already tall and wished he was a bit taller.

Same hissed and shifted his feet slightly until they were perched precariously on a small ledge, but not stuck in a small crack where they had previously been. He bent his knees slightly, eyes locked on his handhold. Then, he jumped and grappled at the rock with his right hand furiously. There was a heart-stopping moment when his hand slipped, but he quickly shot his left hand up to grab the handhold. Same dangled on the rock surface for a few moments while his adrenaline left him, then grabbed another handhold with his right hand and pulled himself up a bit, searching for good footholds. Finding one he placed his right foot on it, then placed his left foot on a foothold two feet away. They felt good and solid, and Same resented the fact that he hadn't noticed them before he jumped.

After checking to make sure he was solidly planted on the wall, Same reached up with his right hand and grabbed the edge of his destination. Nodding inwardly he grabbed it with his left hand as well then pushed himself upwards, shuffling his feet higher and higher up the wall. It was a trick he had learned during his days in the Academy. Upon reaching a good height he swung his left leg up and rolled onto the top of the rock. Same lay on his back for a few seconds, congratulating himself, then pushed up into a sitting position and observed his surroundings. The top of the rock was flat and solid, about 10 yards in diameter. A smile came to Same's lips when he realized that he had finally made it to the top of the rock he had been attempting to climb for years. The smile wore away, however, when his eye caught something on the rock. He moved closer to it and could see that it was a bird. A dead bird. Same frowned and picked it up, staring it at. It was a crow, yes. It looked like it had a broken wing, and had landed on the rock to rest. However the wing prevented it from leaving and it had been stuck. It then starved. For a brief moment Same got a mental image of him stuck on the rock, then pushed it away. He knew the tree-climbing technique, and he could simply walk down the surface if needed. Granted, the impact to the ground might hurt, but stuck? Surely not.

Same stared at the bird for a while, before shrugging and chucking it off the rock. It was still a bird, and dead or not, it would probably enjoy one last flight. The flight came to an end when Same heard a faint crack sound, signaling the end of the bird's descent. The smile returned to his lips as all thought of the bird was pushed away, and he lied back with his hands behind his heads, staring up at the sky.

Usual: Same jumped as a man suddenly appeared on the rock with him, seemingly out of thin air. He pushed himself into a sitting position, staring at the man with his mouth slightly open. After getting over his initial shock Same wisely closed his mouth, but remained staring at the man. He was able to register the man speaking, and it took him a few moments before he realized what he was saying. Same nodded, wordlessly answering the man's question about if he liked it. He could sense the air of respect that lingered from the man's words, and it made him feel slightly proud that this man felt, however small, a sense of respect for him.

When the man looked down at him and addressed him again, Same got to his feet. The man easily towered above him, he must have been around a foot taller, but Same didn't feel intimidated by that fact. Same nodded, realizing that the man had stopped talking for a reason: To let him answer. "Ah... Yeah, it is." He said. "I've been trying to get up here ever since I joined the Academy, but I've never been able to." A smile ghosted Same's lips as he spoke with a sense of pride about his accomplishment.
